Reveal day is here, and I’m so excited to share the finished playroom with you! This has been such a fun space to design for multiple reasons. Not only did I finally give this room purpose but creating something for my kids always brings me joy.
My home projects seem to be never-ending, so when the One Room Challenge comes along each year it helps rein me in and focus on one project at a time. I’m so happy I got this space tackled right before the holidays.
Before we dive in, I want to give a huge thank you to my husband for helping me with the playroom. I tried to keep his involvement minimal this time around, so the things he did help with I’m very grateful. Also shoutout to my sister who did the lettering on the chalkboard.
As a refresher, here’s what the space looked like before:

Now the moment you’ve been waiting for…
When I created this space, I wanted to achieve several things. First, I wanted to give this particular area of my home a purpose because over the years we couldn’t quite figure out what to do with it. Second, I wanted a dedicated place where Lily and Paul could play downstairs just for them. Bonus that it’s in the same space as my Peloton so I can keep an eye on them while I workout. And lastly, because it’s the first thing you see when you walk in the door I wanted it to look intentional. I achieved all of this and more. 😊
