Welcome!

I’ve always had a thing for interior design for as long as I can remember. Of course, back when I was a kid I didn’t think of it as “liking interior design” but more of “getting restless with the design of my room.” I also had a fascination with how other people’s homes looked. I even remember when I was in 5th grade telling my dad that I think my class should do a field trip where we’d spend a day at everyone’s houses. I loved going over to peoples houses and getting ideas.

When I moved out on my own in 2007 it was my first chance to really start expressing myself. Once my friend Meggan shared a couple of her favorite interior design blogs I knew I was officially hooked. I spent hours on Flickr getting all kinds of ideas. I subscribed to a bunch of blogs in my Google Reader.

By the time we (my husband and I) moved into our second place I was ready to get crackin’ on all my ideas! Luckily my husband trusts my judgment as long as thing are functional. Although the house is “completed” as far as major redesign stuff goes, I’m still doing other small projects that I’d like to share here.
