This week I completely finished repainting the nursery furniture, the big goal with this project. Not only was this something I wanted to accomplish as part of the One Room Challenge, but I also wanted to get it done before TTC again.
This furniture was originally my mom’s nursery furniture, and then it was passed along to my mom to use in the nursery for both my sister and I.
Eventually, my mom repainted both the wardrobe and the dresser to be white with blue trim which is how it stayed until recently. 😎
Nursery Furniture: After
Now, after weeks of stripping, sanding, painting, and staining, it looks like this:
I let everything dry/cure for several days before putting on the hardware, all of which I got from Lowe’s. This included new legs for the wardrobe which I stained as well.
I LOVE how good it all looks! 🤩 I’m so happy I was able to stain the drawer fronts instead of having to paint them. Not only does it give a mid-century modern vibe but as nursery furniture, it’s totally gender neutral!
Now everything is assembled and ready to go in the room. Stay tuned for next week when I reveal the whole room!
