The Lovely Geek Shop Launch

It’s finally happening! After two years of working behind-the-scenes in between client projects, I’m excited to announce The Lovely Geek Design Shop will be launching June 12, 2023!

A Little Background

Back in 2020 when I found out I was pregnant with my son, I knew that my time was going to be even more divided once a second child came into the mix. I was already juggling running my web design business and watching a toddler with no childcare, which is a lot as it is. I wanted to come up with a solution that would allow me to be a little more hands-off during this season but still have a creative outlet. Enter website templates.

I’ve always wanted to provide website templates, but at the time it would have involved creating them via WordPress, and the upkeep was more than I wanted to take on. Once I started exploring Showit, I realized I could get into the template game and put my 15+ years of web design experience to good use.

What Will Be in the Shop

My shop will contain digital products plus links to recommended tools and resources. I’m starting small with two products: a website template for Showit and my Notion Content Planner. Later this year I plan on introducing a DIY mini-course and more templates.

My products are designed for small business owners and entrepreneurs that are not afraid of a little DIY when it comes to their website. I understand a custom website may be out of budget for some, so my hope is to make my offerings more accessible, especially for those that are more hands-on with the online portion of their business.
