On Monday, Bella had her checkup and was able to get her feeding tube removed! Not only that, but both her blood work and liver levels are back to normal. She’s made a full recovery! It has been a long month and half, but I am so happy she is healed!
Now that Bella is back to normal, my office room is no longer her room, so I took the opportunity to give it a deep clean as well as getting a new rug and doing some reorganizing. Getting a rug for my office has made the space feel a whole lot comfier and cozier! The animals love it too!
The laundry room is about 90% complete, so I’m hoping to do a reveal post next week! Also our shed in the backyard has been getting some love this week with the help of our friend’s dad who’s a contractor.
We had a branch that fell and damaged part of the shed two years ago, and now we’re just getting around to getting it all fixed. I know, better late than never! Now all it needs is a fresh coat of paint, a new light, and then we can work on making the inside pretty. I think that will be one of the first projects we tackle in 2016.
Wednesday we had our end-of-the-quarter team event. We went to the Sac State Aquatic Center for the afternoon and rented paddle boards and kayaks; another coworker and I hung out on the beach. Afterwards we went to dinner at The Old Spaghetti Factory. It was a really fun afternoon!
Friday night I went downtown for happy hour at Ella Dining Room and Bar with one of my project managers, Kara, to celebrate the launch of the website for The Kitchen. I’ve never been to Ella before which feels like a crime given how involved my life has been in downtown Sacramento the last couple of years. It was a pretty nice place, great food, and I loved the atmosphere. I got to meet the CEO and a few other people, and overall it was a nice way to wind down the work-week.
Seeing as we are getting towards the end of the month, I started prepping my two end of the month posts: What’s In My Beauty Bag and My Favorite Things. I also did my very first blog post over at Three29 this week. I’ll be doing Friday linkups to web design-related resources, freebies, etc. over at the Three29 blog so check it out!
