I had a really nice Easter weekend. On Saturday, we went to service with Joshua’s family and out to dinner at Red Robin as per tradition. Sunday we went to church with my parents, and afterwards Dani, Joshua and I had yummy mimosa’s at Early Toast.
On Sunday I hosted Easter for the very first time! Joshua and I grilled leg of lamb and Dani made potatoes, both recipes which were from The Williams-Sonoma Cookbook: The Essential Recipe Collection for Today’s Home Cook. I also made this delicious Skinny Broccoli Salad (minus the tomatoes and olives), and my dad brought sauteed spinach.
For hors d’oeuvres Dani provided an assortment of cheeses, and my uncle brought homemade strawberry shortcake for dessert. It was a yummy meal, and we all had a great time!
Monday my splash page for the CGA Strategic Conference launched! In addition to that I made major progress on my design for The Wire.
Have I mentioned how happy I am to be designing lately? I haven’t had any designs to work on since last year because I’ve been doing a lot of project management, but now that changes have been implemented at work (for the better), I’m getting to do a lot more design. Not only that but I think my designs are getting better especially with the guidance I now have.
The blog didn’t get a whole lot of love this week, but since I am going on vacation next week I am hoping to have some down-time where I can really get to work on things. At this point I am not sure if a May launch is realistic. We shall see.
