The big thing that happened this week is that our landscaper (aka Joshua’s dad – and brother) began work on our backyard. We’re finally getting that bad boy the attention it deserves! I’m excited to see how it comes along in the coming weeks.
Just to give you an idea of what we’re starting with…
We let it go a little since last summer, so it makes great before photos.
We’ve been working with our new desks for a whole week now, and on Thursday we finally cleared out the last of the old office furniture.
It was a great team-building exercise with everyone helping to make it happen. My Design Director put in a request with Property Management to get our paint colors approved, and my boss had a guy come in to give us a quote for removing the carpet and sealing the cement. Changes are happening!
I didn’t get to spend as much time as I would have liked on The Lovely Geek this week. Not only have I had very little downtime to work on it, but I’ve hit a roadblock as far as how I want to incorporate my portfolio.
Originally I set up TheLovelyGeek.com as a WordPress multisite with TheLovelyGeek.com/Design as my portfolio, but now I am not sure if I want to go that route. My portfolio isn’t much of a focus these days because I am not freelancing. Something to think about.
