A Day in the Life: November 2015

5:30am – Joshua’s alarm goes off. He gets out of bed to go feed the animals and get ready for the day. Not me, hah! I’m still sleepy, so I sleep in for about another hour.

6:40am – Joshua comes back to the bedroom to kiss me goodbye. I say goodbye and slowly start to get up. It’s tough to get out of a nice warm bed when your furbabies want to cuddle. 😉 I get my coffee and start working on a few things at my computer. I check my email, put the finishing touches on my Monday Meal Plan blog post, and begin working on this one.

7:30am – I kick myself off the computer and start getting ready for work.

8:00am – I check how long it’s going to take me to get to work via the ETA app. Typically it takes me 25 minutes to get to work with no traffic. Today it’s saying 45 mins. Traffic has been really bad the last couple of weeks, so I take the opportunity to do a little work from home while waiting for traffic to die down. I check my work emails and start looking through Feedly to find some articles to showcase for a blog post.

8:30am – I finally leave for work.

9:00am – I arrive at work. After checking my email again and getting set up for the day, I continue working on my blog post for the next 45 minutes. I only have a three day work week this week, so I have a lot to get done before EOD Wednesday.

10:00am – I switch over to working on design round two edits for Eyefinity, a project I started working on last week.

12:00pm – Lunch time! I have leftover pizza from last night along with some Kombucha Cola. The internet had been spotty all morning, and after watching a YouTube video it flat out stopped working for me. I was also starting not to feel too well, so I decided to head home and finish the work day there.

1:30pm – Arrived home. Changed into my sweats, made a cup of tea, turned my Pandora yoga station on, and worked for the rest of the afternoon. It rained all afternoon and into the evening, so it was really soothing and helped me focus.

5:00pm – My sister comes home from running errands, so at this point I call it a day. We hang out, play with the dogs, and watch Gilmore Girls until Joshua comes home. I’m supposed to make Apple Bacon Feta Turkey Sliders, but both Dani and I are craving soup. It’s definitely a soup kind of day.

6:00pm – Joshua comes home. We tell him we want soup, so he orders food from Chili’s (love their soups). Dani and I continue to watch Gilmore Girls.

7:00pm – Joshua comes back with food. Dani retreats to her room to watch more Gilmore Girls while Joshua and I catch up on last week’s episode of Shield. We watch an episode of Sheriffs of El Dorado County, our very own little local version of COPS, haha.

9:00pm – I take a shower while Joshua cleans up from dinner and feeds the dogs and cats. After my shower I hop onto the computer for a little while to fiddle around with a new plugin I installed on my blog.

10:30pm – Bedtime!
