Special Appearance came from two attorneys who needed a better way to swap and cover court appearances. They wanted a solution to the emails, Facebook groups, and text messages that were being used to organize court coverages. The answer was a mobile app that allowed attorneys to post appearances they need to be covered and the ability to cover for other attorneys.
