My Top 10 Favorite Things of 2019

My Top 10 Favorite Things of 2019 #thelovelygeek
  1. Downtown Abbey – I know, I know. I am years late to the party, but better late than never, right? I started binge-watching this show on Prime later this year, and I am HOOKED! I finished the series and watched the movie last week, and it was definitely my favorite show of the year.
  2. Lululemon Align Leggings – Even though I got my first pair of lulu’s in 2016 the Align leggings have been my favorite to wear this year. They got me through pregnancy and postpartum. I basically live in them now. They’re super comfy, adjust to pretty much any body type, and there’s a handy yet discreet pocket on the front that fits a tube of chapstick and my iPhone 11 Pro Max AKA my essentials. πŸ˜†
  3. The Simple Business Show Podcast – I’ve followed Nesha Woolery a long time, and I was so thrilled when she released her podcast this year sharing her nuggets of freelance wisdom with the world. As someone who is constantly working on improving their process, I have greatly valued Nesha’s advice. I even took her webinar on how to create a welcome packet which is on my to-do list to create for 2020.
  4. 8 Sheep Organics Sleep Lotion – I used this stuff throughout my entire pregnancy, and let me tell you it really works. It worked so well that I had to space out how often I used it because I’d wake up a little drowsy. It really helped me with sleep and pain towards the end of my pregnancy, and I remember using it on my hip a lot since that was the most painful.
  5. Saje – My sister introduced me to Saje by gifting me their products for Christmas and my birthday. Eventually, I got to go there in person and loved all the different rollerball blends, lotions, etc. they had to offer. Plus the fact they rub your shoulders in their wonderful Peppermint Halo rollerball isn’t too bad either. πŸ˜‰ It’s all the good essential oil stuff without the MLM.
  6. Earth Harbor – Pregnancy changed my skin drastically this year. I went from being an oily acne-prone gal to dry skin. My new skincare regime (courtesy of The Organic Bunny) now consists of the line Earth Harbor. Their products smell amazing, do the job, and have fun little names like Siren Silk and Aloha Love.
  7. Holy Matcha – One of the most Instagrammable places in San Diego (even their bathroom is cute), my sister took me here during my visit in May. Not only is their matcha delicious but they have the yummiest gluten-free/dairy-free matcha donuts that I can’t stop thinking about.
  8. Pressed Juicery – Specifically their Freezes. Made with five simple ingredients their vegan soft-serve freezes allow Joshua and I to get our froyo fix without the digestive consequences. They’re opening one up right by my house (we currently have to travel 40 mins to the nearest one), so by the time my birthday rolls around we should be able to go on our little froyo dates again!
  9. Coco Bakes – Good gluten-free bread is hard to find and good gluten-free sourdough is like a magical unicorn. I’m happy to report that unicorn is just a few clicks away. Baked fresh in LA, I order this bread all the time and it ships fresh directly to me. It’s gluten-soy-dairy-rice free, vegan, sprouted and organic. Did I mention it tastes amazing? My favorite way to have it is hot out of the toaster with some Miyoko’s Vegan Butter.
  10. Many Moons Lunar Planner – This was gifted to me last year for Christmas, and I loved it so much I got one for 2020! It definitely allowed me to break out of my shell and express my woo-woo side a bit more this year.
