Well, here we are, half a year already! He’s still rocking his size 3 diapers but he’s on the 9 months end of the 6-9 month clothes. He’s trying to talk and unofficially he said his first word, “Dada.”
Sleeping
Paul sleeps like a champ, and we’re so so grateful! He’s down anywhere from 5:30-6:30 pm and will wake up between 5:30-6:30 am the next day. I’ve even managed to get him taking his afternoon nap at the same time as Lily, so I’m able to have a small window of me-time during the day. He takes a small nap in the morning which is usually just long enough for Lily and I to have our breakfast together.
Feeding
We introduced pureed baby food last month, and he’s loving it so far. He’s not into finger foods yet, but I offer small bits of food here and there.
As for me, my milk supply has started to go down significantly more. I read this is pretty common around the six-month mark. Plus, teething has kicked up a notch, so I’m pumping more than I’m nursing.
Favorites
IKEA ANTILOP – For Paul, we opted to get this super simple high chair, and I love it because it’s super easy to clean! It also doesn’t take up as much space, and our Roomba doesn’t get stuck on the legs. Plus, Paul loves hanging out in there with us at the table.
Adjustable Footrest – Since the high chair doesn’t come with a footrest, I got an adjustable one from Etsy. There were so many to choose from, but I went with this one because of the clamps it came with. Once we installed it, Paul loved being able to rest his little feet.
