My first week of Meal Plan Monday didn’t go exactly as planned.
Monday we had a big lunch at my in-laws house, so by the time dinner came around no one was hungry. Thursday was such a long tiring day that we decided to just order pizza, and Friday I was on my own for dinner since Joshua had a BBQ at work. Then Saturday I was planning on doing Thursday’s meal, but nothing was cooking right since I was dealing with items that had been in the freezer for a really long time.
Monday: Tuna Melt Burgers
Tuesday: White Sauce Pasta
Wednesday: Bacon Ranch Pizza
Thursday: Red Sauce Pasta
Friday: Meatless Chili
Saturday: Chicken & Dumplings
We’re starting to run out of options in the house for dinner now that we’re finishing up most of the food. It’s getting to the point where all I have left is whole wheat spaghetti and pasta sauce. I may be Italian, but there’s only so much spaghetti I can handle in a week. Since we’re getting ready to close escrow next week, we’ll probably be eating out/ordering pizza more frequently.
