I am 22 years old! I’m finally at an age where people can no longer say, “Oh my gosh! You just turned 21! How exciting!” every time I am carded. That got so annoying, especially when they’d do it in a squeaky voice, hah! 😆 Now, I just feel old.
My day began by waking up around 7:45am to open presents. From my sister I got a $25 gift card to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, which I am saving (along with the stack of 20% coupons!) for when I move. Joshua again got me another gift certificate to Bliss Spa, and he’ll be giving me the cash to take the Ferry and cab into the city for it as well!
From my mom I received a mermaid candle holder, French Barbie, Tales of Beetle the Bard, The Hobbit (with illustrations by Alan Lee), and a Mercedes-Benz tank top; she picked up the tank top as a wee bit of a joke while shopping for Joshua’s birthday last weekend.
Since I had a 9am haircut, my dad gave me the cash to pay for it plus tip as my birthday present.
I haven’t had a haircut since September and since my hair has been starting to tangle, it was such a nice treat to get it cut again. What’s great is that I got my hair cut by a girl I’ve known since kindergarten, so it was cool to catch up with her again since we rarely talk on MySpace.
After my haircut, Mom treated me to a tall Skinny Vanilla Latte plus a deluxe fruit cup for breakfast from Starbucks. We headed to Folsom where I got a few tops at Old Navy, The North Face jacket I wanted from Sports Authority (it was 20% off!), and some Shea Butter socks from Bath & Body Works. Came home after a trip to Target and hung out until it was time to leave again for my birthday dinner at Chili’s.
A little after five we (me, Joshua, parents, and sis) met at Chili’s for my birthday dinner. I had a Dr. Pepper to drink, Bottomless Tostada Chips, and my beloved Chicken Enchilada soup! YUM-O!! After dinner, Joshua and I met up with my buddy Abby at Red Hawk Casino for a birthday drink! My Cosmopolitan was delicious!
Overall I had an awesome birthday! I got so many birthday wishes via phone (even from Joshua’s family). And thank you to all the birthday wishes on MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, and Plurk! Hooray!
