Almost Three Down and Two Weeks to Go

I had a very busy weekend! Joshua and I ventured up to our hometown where we spent the entire weekend cleaning out my Nana’s house. It’s been quite stressful because the cleaning out process has been going on since November, and my mom has been doing 98% of the work. What’s been even more stressful is progress has only shown since Joshua and I have been coming up to help every other weekend.

This weekend we got so much accomplished we were able to get 2 and a half rooms cleared out: the master bedroom, the master bathroom, and the office room. All the rooms need to be repainted, and we plan on getting the carpets professionally steamed cleaned since they’re horribly dirty.

We haven’t figured out how we want do the office room just yet. All we know is we both want the L-shaped GALANT desks from IKEA. If anything I am going to be using Where We Do What We Do as my inspiration. I know Joshua wants his space to look a little something like this. It’s a geek room in the making, hehe.

I didn’t take pics of the to-be living room as it still had some stuff in it, mainly stuff my mom was gonna take to donate. We did, however, get the nasty old furniture out of there. In fact the garage is filled up with the furniture that we’re going to try to sell at a yard sale. Hopefully the yard sale will allow us to get rid of a ton more stuff. We’ll see how things go!
